DumDum

I have done a bad thing. In my rush to better my writting skills I have joined WordPress and added blog after blog in antempt to make myself a better writter. (That and I’m so anal about organising my writing that one blog for all would freaking kill me) So now that I i’ve joined Tumblr and enjoy their server a lot better (though the blogs here are more my taste) I cannot delete my blogs. I really want to free up my names so that others can use them but that is not accpetable. Also I came to the point that I couldn’t even post regularly because the stress of juggling sooo many blogs made me want to hurl. So take a lesson from me. Do not make many blogs in the hopes that you can make a name for yourself or even better your writting. Just stick to one. Not only would you not streach yourself thin but you would also not come across as a spammer. (Ugh bad bad comparison) Anyway that’s all for this (as well as my other) blogs. Ja ne.

YouTube – How To Be Alone

In this modern-day and Age people have come to rely more and more on other people for things they don’t really need to. For example, it has become a common occurence for hordes of young adults (Because this is the dynamic that is catalysing the change) to go anywhere with at least one other person tagging along. Now I don’t expect anyone to go anywhere alone as such but would it really be so bad to take the time to go out on your own?

The video above a short poem(Not done by me but you should look at it) about how to be alone and the things you can enjoy in your solitude. Before the world had hit this modern age everyone had the pleasure of wanking happily without people across several oceans seeing them on the internet. Otherwise on a smaller scale how can someone gather their thoughts in a crowded room where everyone is talking and trying to get their attention. Can you enjoy the scent of a rose or the happiness of an ice cream sundae?

In theory you still can but the normal human cannot. Not as much as they could. Modern day media has evolved so much that it markets dependability. Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t this the kind of thinking (Dependence on unnecessary thinks) that many activist groups want to eradicate? So why is our society running head first towards this dependant attitude. Sure it may be ok to depend o some one and some thing every now and again but to make them your make source of comfort? Sometimes we just have to go be alone.

How to Keep Proactivily Busy in an Un-Proactive World

In the world of today we are faced with many dificulties. We have Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and WordPress to name a few distractions. These kinds of websites as helpful as they are for keeping us entertained they are a whirlwind waiting to happen.

When we visit these social networks we get the illusion of being busy. It is a part of the ingenious part of social networks. Anyone can go onto a social site and spend almost all day doing nothing.

The best way to combat this form of listlessness would be to find out your learning type. There are a variety of learning types ranging from audio learners to kinetic learners.

Once you have found out your best learning type all you would need to do is find a nice environment to work in. It might be harder for some than others, such as when I tried to work out my type I had a mix of two types and a strong influence by a third type which was hard to maneuver around. 🙂 However it’s worth it in the end if you can find a way to keep yourself focused. You can take on the world.

Death of the Veggie!

null One thing I realized over the course of the time I spent on this earth surfing the web, is that I dislike internet vegetarians. Well most of them. They always seem so spiteful when someone brings up the topic, whether themselves, another vegetarian or meat-eater. I am not going to say being a vegetarian is wrong cause I am friends with a lot of them and they are really cool about it. (Or maybe we just sweep it under the rock?) However that is not the point, the point is why are so many vegetarians in life bitter on the internet.

The knee jerk reaction of meat eaters opened my eyes to how sensitive people could be to the topic. Like me very shameless comment after I felt like I was being insulted. Hayley Stevens Is a pretty good writer and I agreed with half of her post because she sounded really mature about the people who gave her weird looks about being vegetarian and for that she had my respect.

However, at the end it turned more into a kind of spiteful ranting. Despite that she is still one of the internet vegetarians that I like a lot more than the others. Some of vegetarians out right called meat eaters murders. I laughed at this point in particular because how do we know that vegetarians aren’t murders too? Afterall plants are living things too (which is the main reason I couldn’t be a vegan and at one point stopped eating).

In fact they supply us with oxygen which is important too but that doesn’t matter now. especially not for me. In the end being a vegetarian is a choice, one that must not be taken light. i.e do some research before going out to become a vegetarian or even go back to eating meat. Both choices are completely fine but should be heavily thought through.

Why Belief is Over Rated

Belief is highly over rated and I will tell you why. When I was I child I didn’t believe in anything at all and that was fine with me, loneliness was my friend, however I have(had) many friends who believe in many things maybe too many things. They believe in love, the power of friendship and God. These are their main focuses and they are shared by 75% of the people I spent time around.

In the story of Pandora’s box, when Pandora opened her box all the evils of the world flew out of which hope is the last. Hope is evil but that is not the issue. The issue is the Pandora was tricked but the gods (In some versions) into opening the box which let loose the plague despite irrefutable evidence of the gods being tricksters by nature.

Belief is not something that should be taken lightly but you might “But Jane, we can’t not believe in people” True but sometimes the evidence is stacked so high that it’s better to walk away.

In a look at the world how many people who actually sit back and hope that things will get better actually do? Very few and those who have rarely lived to tell their tales. Children sit back and hope mom and dad don’t divorce or Adults hope to gain success in their chosen fields everyone of them but what happened as time went by? Nothing.

Cunning gets results and only those willing to say “No fuck hope! Fuck belief, this is what’s happening now and I’m not going to sit here and let it get any worse” gets results. Normally these are the people who everyone looks at and say how could they get there when they are so self-centered but the sad news is they actually got results from their non-belief.

Why Siblings Don’t Get Along…

Everyone across the globe has someone that they treat as their siblings or even real siblings. I shall not offer one of those nice heartwarming posts about how wonderful siblings are because frankly I don’t know much about that. It is well know that siblings fight. Why they fight is a whole ‘nother story. When kids are born the only thing they have to guide them are their instincts and the ability to learn quickly. Many psychologists who study children believe that they fight because of birth order. I believe they might be onto something.

When the first/only child is born, they are lazy and more than likely are narcissistic because they don’t have to earn their parents’ love or fight for food or anything like that; they just are, according to the layman. Some psychologists believe that there is nothing wrong with the first/only child in comparison to other children.

Now the middle child is where things get interesting. Everyone see this child as the one who hates people. They are never around and never seem to want much of anything from anyone. They are the ones who always fall behind the first born and must pick up the mess because they must learn how. psychologists believe that they learn no skills in life that can help them out and tend to be loners.

Finally there is the last child. These children are by far the most cute, according to the average man. They get all the love that the parents have because they cannot fend for themselves and parents like to know they are doing for their kids and not leaving them by the wayside. Their mannerisms and wits are the talk of any family party especially when the topic is Kids. However many psychologists believe that the youngest of the family learns skills that would best suit them in field where their life is called for or some form of risk. They are viewed as being either over loved or underloved.

As for why siblings fight it is very simple, they have to earn their parents love. Yes it’s true that each parent loves their child t death but each child has a separate type of love. Each type of love would come with it’s own rewards and risks as well as variations of attention. By the time the youngest comes along the middle child is all but forgotten between the shouts of “Isn’t he cute”, “Why would you do that” and “That’s mah boy!” So they with draw inward where it is safer. For the eldest child, they normal feel as if they have been forgotten and tend to act out in the hopes of regaining what they and their parents shared before the younger ones came about.

N.B If you take this seriously it is at your own expense. TaTa!

Friends Are Why We Get Up In The Morning…

… Or why we can’t wait to get into bed. I can honestly say that I have some weird friends. Every where I go I make friends with people who don’t blink at anything, have a head like a an encyclopedia, are innocent beyond some sembalance of reality or are just crazy. Mostly they are crazy.

In the world of friends you have more or lest three distinct friends. The Alpha, the Beta and the ones who cause trouble. Now in order for every group to work there must be some reason we bunch of strangers can get along. In the case of me and my friends it just so happens that we like to read and watch anime. Also my group contains the core elements: Alpha, Beta, and Trouble maker. Sometimes they are so sharp that we come across as a band of lions(rawr?). For now forget my friends and focus on the three main types in any group.

Alpha:

The alpha of any group is usually the one who will go out and get something done in any case scenario right? Wrong! Dead Wrong! The alpha in every group of friends is the go to person for any form of trouble. They are like lions. When they are not being useful they leave, go scope out other groups of friends, ward off potential trouble makers who clash with group dynamics. The Alpha is not a fuzzy furry character in the group of friends. They will lay you down with straight forward logical and brutal honesty sometimes( if the dynamic of the group is more shady) They will use sarcasm to get their point across. Typical alpha stuff. They leave everything within the group of friends up to the Beta.

Beta:

The Beta is like the go to person for anything on the group of friends. More often than not they know where everyone is and what they are doing. They organize birthdays, sleep overs, parties you name it they are doing it. They are not in it for the glory much like the Alpha(Bad alpha, very bad) but rather for the enjoyment they get for making other happy. When the alpha is not around or is being mean many of the friends will go and cry on the Beta’s shoulder pushing all their worries on the Beta. The Beta being kind will then give them advice on the dos and don’ts of the situation. Unlike the trouble maker.

The Trouble maker:

The trouble maker is the probable the most vicious of all the friends you will ever have. It is hard to tell them from enemies because their very nature dictates that they will eventually do something that will cause trouble. They will act like any normal friend until they either get bored or start suffering from low blood sugar. More than likely the former will be the most common. Unlike enemies they genuinely care when they cross the line and cause their friends genuine stress. they are normally a very quiet part of the group or overlooked. In larger groups more than one trouble maker may exsist though this is very rare.

So now you know about the three main types of friends in every group of friends. You might be asking but what does this have to do with why we wake up or go to bed because of friends? Well the answer is nothing really. If your group is strong and all the members are present then you will have nothing to worry about but should your group fall apart, should any of these members go missing then you find yourself drifting away from those who are close to… or becoming stronger because of it.

Dedicated to my favourite trouble maker. 🙂
