YouTube – How To Be Alone

In this modern-day and Age people have come to rely more and more on other people for things they don’t really need to. For example, it has become a common occurence for hordes of young adults (Because this is the dynamic that is catalysing the change) to go anywhere with at least one other person tagging along. Now I don’t expect anyone to go anywhere alone as such but would it really be so bad to take the time to go out on your own?

The video above a short poem(Not done by me but you should look at it) about how to be alone and the things you can enjoy in your solitude. Before the world had hit this modern age everyone had the pleasure of wanking happily without people across several oceans seeing them on the internet. Otherwise on a smaller scale how can someone gather their thoughts in a crowded room where everyone is talking and trying to get their attention. Can you enjoy the scent of a rose or the happiness of an ice cream sundae?

In theory you still can but the normal human cannot. Not as much as they could. Modern day media has evolved so much that it markets dependability. Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t this the kind of thinking (Dependence on unnecessary thinks) that many activist groups want to eradicate? So why is our society running head first towards this dependant attitude. Sure it may be ok to depend o some one and some thing every now and again but to make them your make source of comfort? Sometimes we just have to go be alone.

Friends Are Why We Get Up In The Morning…

… Or why we can’t wait to get into bed. I can honestly say that I have some weird friends. Every where I go I make friends with people who don’t blink at anything, have a head like a an encyclopedia, are innocent beyond some sembalance of reality or are just crazy. Mostly they are crazy.

In the world of friends you have more or lest three distinct friends. The Alpha, the Beta and the ones who cause trouble. Now in order for every group to work there must be some reason we bunch of strangers can get along. In the case of me and my friends it just so happens that we like to read and watch anime. Also my group contains the core elements: Alpha, Beta, and Trouble maker. Sometimes they are so sharp that we come across as a band of lions(rawr?). For now forget my friends and focus on the three main types in any group.

Alpha:

The alpha of any group is usually the one who will go out and get something done in any case scenario right? Wrong! Dead Wrong! The alpha in every group of friends is the go to person for any form of trouble. They are like lions. When they are not being useful they leave, go scope out other groups of friends, ward off potential trouble makers who clash with group dynamics. The Alpha is not a fuzzy furry character in the group of friends. They will lay you down with straight forward logical and brutal honesty sometimes( if the dynamic of the group is more shady) They will use sarcasm to get their point across. Typical alpha stuff. They leave everything within the group of friends up to the Beta.

Beta:

The Beta is like the go to person for anything on the group of friends. More often than not they know where everyone is and what they are doing. They organize birthdays, sleep overs, parties you name it they are doing it. They are not in it for the glory much like the Alpha(Bad alpha, very bad) but rather for the enjoyment they get for making other happy. When the alpha is not around or is being mean many of the friends will go and cry on the Beta’s shoulder pushing all their worries on the Beta. The Beta being kind will then give them advice on the dos and don’ts of the situation. Unlike the trouble maker.

The Trouble maker:

The trouble maker is the probable the most vicious of all the friends you will ever have. It is hard to tell them from enemies because their very nature dictates that they will eventually do something that will cause trouble. They will act like any normal friend until they either get bored or start suffering from low blood sugar. More than likely the former will be the most common. Unlike enemies they genuinely care when they cross the line and cause their friends genuine stress. they are normally a very quiet part of the group or overlooked. In larger groups more than one trouble maker may exsist though this is very rare.

So now you know about the three main types of friends in every group of friends. You might be asking but what does this have to do with why we wake up or go to bed because of friends? Well the answer is nothing really. If your group is strong and all the members are present then you will have nothing to worry about but should your group fall apart, should any of these members go missing then you find yourself drifting away from those who are close to… or becoming stronger because of it.

Dedicated to my favourite trouble maker. 🙂
